Matt, I know I am a little late on this, but I did not see any sexual connotation in the copy. I agree with the others, its just suppose to be a comedy spoof...thats all. Just some cat thinking about eating some crappy high calorie, unhealthy, fatning food...lololol...the poor bastard will end up with diabetes or other health issues....lolol BY the way, here was my take on it. |

Are the rigors of your pressure packed, on-the-go life getting you down? Do you sometimes want to stick your head out of a window and say "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore?
Well, we've got a better solution - Heroin. That's right, the mystic powder of the east has been used for centuries to help people forget their troubles, slip back and relax into a world of comfort.
So the next time you find yourself with a little too much reality on your hands, choose the alternative that many stock brokers, actors and musicians favor. Heroin.

Thanks all, for the input.
You're probably right. After the whole "Snickers" thing with the Super Bowl (which I still believe was indeed unfunny, pandering, and playing to stereotypes), I suppose maybe I am seeing malice where there is merely klunky, unfunny copy.
Best,
Matt |

Wow, Vic!
That was..... beautiful, man!
I was touched. Fought back tears throughout the whole thing.
I think that needs to be your new generic demo here.
Then the rest of us would get more jobs.

Hey, the very first season of SNL had worse! Who could forget "Placenta Helper" or the Bass-o-Matic?
But I hear ya, Vic. I am so friggin' bored that I haven't even had the gumption to make coffee yet. I can't even work up enough excitement to do laundry, and the machine does all the work!
I am so bored I'm actually considering recording the Ernestine the Operator impression I only do at choral retreats after 3 drinks....

You guys bored???
Let's see...
9:00 a.m. - met with some church friends for a breakfast meeting at the S.F. Bread co. (quite good)
Ran home to get my son in time to get him to karate at 11:30a.m. (he's working on his second black belt!)
Came home and started putting grout and slate sealer on my new tile/slate flooring.
Leaving now to take my 89 year young mom to Mass at her new church here.
Then back home; friends are coming over and we're watching "King Kong" oh HDTV tonight.
Other than that, it's a quiet day.
If you're bored, I still have a ton of flooring that still needs to be sealed!

I will be speaking with the Chairman for the National Heroin board later and I have forwarded Vic's audition. One question Vic. How much extra to have you say
Heroin, it's not just for breakfast anymore
By the way, I appreciate the fact that your read was so sexually and racially unbiased, although I thought I heard some undertones in the second paragraph that might be interpreted as "I secretly harbor some feelings of lust for George Clooney, which is making me reevaluate my mission on earth", which may or may not be a bad thing.

A whole new meaning to "Crystal Lite".....
