I see it now! When you save an .mp3 you can set a custom bit and sample rate down below.... (I noticed in 2.0 you have to click the ADVANCED button to get these choices. I have both but for now prefer 1.5)

Sorry bout that....I misunderstood....I thought you had said it wouldn't let you record at greater than 128 in mono mode. my bust.

OK....I called up an mp3 file I saved as 44.1/128 mono

with the file up....click on edit drop down menu.....near the bottom, you'll see a choice named "convert sample type" don't confuse it with the "Adjust Sample Rate" choice. Choose the convert Sample Type and a box will come up like the image below. This will allow you to convert the 44.1/128 mono mp3 to anything you like.

Crap and make sure your screen that you want ot print screen has focus at the time.

I just hit the "print screen" button on my keyboard, then edit/crop the image in any random image-editing program, et voila!

Vic....I use Gimp for windows. It's a graphic program that also has screen capture functionality.
