OK....I used live chat. Here are my ratings. I should say that out of the hundreds of auditions I've done, I only have 15 ratings. So here they are.
You all know the scale

1 =bad
25=poor
50=ok
75=good
100=excellent

my ratings......

1 = (4 of them)

50 = (2 of them)

75 = (5 of them)

100 = (4 of them)

hahahahahahaha

Hello everyone,

Please do not worry about the rating situation, at this point this information is only being used to select a position and the result searches, that´s all.

The New Voice123 will use the SmartCast system to filter the leads, this system works separately from the actual ranking, the ranking tool will also be improved very soon to allow an easier and more reliable way of getting feedback from clients.

Please be patient, the ratings should be available to all of you very soon.

Personally, I think the ratings system is great.
I've always thought so.
V123 should keep it just the way it is.
It's very, very fair.

And it's only coincidence that I just saw mine; so there!

Robert must have all 100s and therefore is very happy! hahahaha I do have a question tho......I have 4 100s......how come I have yet to receive one of those thanks but no thanks emails? How can I get a rating of 100 and not be one of the finalists and therefore receive the rejection letter? What a sad state it is that my goal is to receive a %&^$* rejection letter! Shocked Laughing

Well, I got mine, and have a couple suggestions:
(in case these aren't in v123 v2.0, that is...)

1) more stats for VA's
I'd like to see a more detailed feedback breakdown by type of job (ivr, radio, etc), budget, number of responses, type of demo (generic/custom), etc. This would help me to focus on areas I'm reaching, and improve the ones where my score is low (or ignore them all together). Oh, and I'd also need a way to check that's easier than "Chat"...

2) some way for VA's to refute a score
This would be like when you have an item on your credit report that you'd like to debate. There should be some process to refute a scoring, or at least have it removed. For example, if the seeker uniformly rates everyone a 1, maybe those should be thrown out.

In all (for the curious), I had 55 ratings, and 45 of them were 50 (ie. OK) or better. Strangely I didn't have any 25's, which leads me to question the validitiy of the 1's ('cuz the 100's can't be wrong!)

So, them's my 2 cents... Freddie? What do you think?

Thanks,
Joe J Thomas

another thing that just dawned on me.....we all wonder whether our auditions are even heard or not. I've submitted hiundreds of auditions and only have 15 ratings. Because of my day job I can't ever get in on a lead early on.....I'm wondering if all the ratings I didn't receive is because those auditions were never heard....the 15 I got were because that's how many were actually heard. I mean....I have four 1's, so obviously the lack of rating isn't because the audition was so bad they didn't rate it....you can't get worse than a 1 and that is an option for them...soooooo....maybe the vast majority of my auditions were never even heard because of how late in the game I have to submit. Just a thought.

Hello again everyone,

Unfortunately the ratings by themselves at this time do not show or reflect the reality of your ranking, a lot of extra information is taken on to consideration to see the big picture.

I had a meeting with Voice123 regarding this issue and it was decided not to provide these anymore, at least until the version 2.0 is launched, this information can be misunderstood or misused, and we really want to prevent that from happening. (hope you all understand)

The new SmartCast system will work separately. Anyway Voice123 is going to work soon on the development of a new rating system that will allow clients to provide feedback in easier and more reliable ways.

All your feedback presented in this topic will be reviewed and taken on to consideration.

Thank you all for your attention.

This is an interesting topic, and the suggestions for improvements very good - but it's led me to realise that there's a whole system around v123 - Voice seekers relationship that I know *nothing* about. Just found out in the past week about the ratings, and there's a mention about a tool to help seekers keep track of their short list or whatever.

There are obviously tools offered within the 123 experience that appear to make the caster's life easier.. but where do I find out about this?

A walkthrough of the whole v123 - voice seeker process would be good... from how they're notified about auditions coming in, to how they are listed, filtered(!!!?), heard, selected, rejected, etc. Because this is the pointy end of the business.

(I suppose someone may just point me to a URL for all this info... ).

As for voices getting selected and not rated... if V123 know who, if any, ultimately gets the job, they could then automatically give the talent a 100.

However, if we are ranked on these ratings as to 'filtering' and being displayed to the seeker, then this is a concern. Wouldn't this would mean that the less active V123 voices, those that work during the day, regardless of suitability or talent, are disadvantaged. Is this not playing favorites? And would this mean there's then no real benefit for responding early - at least for the higher ranked voices? I hope I have this wrong.

Just some thoughts... please I invite all to set me straight.

Cheers
Robert

Well, this is a very simple procedure, the system offers to the clients a way to rate the demos received.
Below you´ll see the view that clients have in the system and how they can rate your demo using the stars. When placing the mouse over each star (starting left to right) it will display " Unprofessional, Not good ,Just fine, Great.

That´s more or less how it works right now, the good news are that very soon we´ll see upgrades to this feature, making it easier for clients to rate the responses. and those will be available for the talents too review.

Hope this helps clarify. (remember, this actual system will be optimized after the version 2.0 is released, be patient)

You know the "unprofessionals" really hurt. I can't imagine anything I've ever submitted being unprofessional. "Not good" I can understand.

Yeah, I love how that $100 voice mail guy thought it was appropriate to label me "unprofessional."

That is something that will have to be fixed in V123 2.0.

There is no way, Colin or Amy have ever submitted something unprofessional in their life.

I might have, but not many times and the bad ratings I got were when I submitted generic reads on generic leads instead of going along with the seeks scam.
