How to set up FTP for file transfer

Being a professional web designer (hopefully not for much longer though!) I upload via FTP using my web program, Dreamweaver. I would NOT recommend going out and buying it, though, as it's a high-end program (around $500) for web designers. Some of the previous recommendations like smartftp.com, yousendit.com and also cuteftp.com will all work just fine.

For webhosting though - and trust me - I've set up HUNDREDS of clients over the years, my choice is GoDaddy.com. At about $3.00/month, and highly reliable, you can't beat 'em.

Thank you so much for the useful suggestions, I'm still working on the web site aspect, but for now there are some great links for FTP servers.

I really like the concept of allowing the client to view the work, but preventing downloading until payment is received, is this the way most VO's work?
