Here I am again , asking for some advice with correct english pronunciation...
I'm doing a weekly movie and concert trailer show on the internet and helas, I'm confronted with a lot of new English names, so if anyone could give me a clue about correct prounciation, Î'ld really appreciate it
Here we go with this week's question: How do you correctly pronounce the name of the crossover band "Incubus "?
(Hope I'm not getting on your nerves with all these questions)
Thomas
P.S. In case you're interested in watching the trailers online, here's the link: http://www.20min.ch/20min_tv/20min_player/fullscreen.html
You can also take this as an invitation for a "on-air" check Any feedback is welcome _________________ Thomas C. Gass

Thanks, Joe!
So you would stress the first sillable, right? I was pretty unsure about the meaning: is it "in - cubus"... like "in - the cube"... thus emphasizing the second sillable? Do you know the band? Hmmm...

Thomas.....accent is on the 1st syllable like Joe illustrates INK' youbus if you're familiar with what a succubus is, it's pronounced like that, replacing suc with ink _________________ Cheers,

Hi Tom,
yeah, I can follow you're hint "incubi" and "succubi" - no cubus, in contrary... (I think I have been sitting too long in front of the mic today instead of...) Jewish and Christian mythology, I know - I simply couldn't see it before...
Thanks a lot for your help - I guess we can close this thread of the three "tomtomtoms"
Have a nice day

Sorry, Deby, I forgot ... but someone with such pronunciation problems regarding English expressions can't be an English speaking VO, can he?
Cheers,
