Unbelievable and interesting

Ya know...tos? Well last week I was #1634 in the rankings. I submitted 3 demos last week, no responses of course, but I jumped up to #840! Can someone tell me what Einsteinial mathematical formula these people use? I think I will submit 3 more before weeks end to see if I can't bump that bogess number up a tad.

Yes... I have discovered that it does weigh heavily on how many auditions you answer and not so much on how many jobs you get. I was all the way up to #12 with only one job to show for it in a year.

I'm totally clueless as to where I stand in the rankings here. I thought that "Customer Service" was no longer giving us those stats for the time being. Is that correct? Or is there a way (such as on T.o.S.... ahem!) where we can go here to get them online?

I'm with Tom and Brian...the voice bazaars are largely gig lotteries and should be an infinitesmal part of an overall revenue plan.

I've soared to #24 at TOS (I believe, Craig, that the formula is to add up the digits in your telephone number and divide it by a numerical value assigned to your astrological sign), but was receiving more Private Leads when I was mired at 312.

And churning out custom demos is like fishing in a wishing well with only a rod and a line...no hooks, no bait.

Great fun, though.

Where are you guys looking on ToS to find your ranking beyond the first 100? I only see the link for the top 100. I made my subscription fee back very quickly at ToS, but it's the Spanish thing. It really helps to know a second language and speak both without an accent, though of course I'm way more comfortable with English. I think in English. But none of that has put me in the top 100. Still, I've only been a premium member there since mid-January. I'm not sure how quickly some of you have seen a jump in the rankings.

Honestly I'd post more audition responses on ToS -- if there were leads! Yesterday I worked all morning on a design job and the rest of the day and evening on a rush project for my old law firm. This morning when I checked V123 and ToS, V123 listed over 20 unanswered leads -- ToS, zero! Hmmmm.

Go to "My Account"....look under the "Settings" and you will see "statistics". Click on that and there you have it. Your bogess, no, no, I mean your official ranking at tos. Laughing

Thanks, Craig. That was really helpful. I'm a "push the button to see what happens" kind of woman. I need to do that with some of the hyperlinks on ToS, I think.
