I'm new to the VO industry and I've been sending this out to try and get some work.

I studied with a VO coach and had a professional audio producer/engineer cut the demo.

I'd appreciate any feedback! Thanks in advance!

Hey Matthew...
I think you've got a good voice and could do well in several specific areas, notably audio books, e-learning, and any spot where the client needs someone who sounds like the guy next door. You don't have that booming announcer voice, and that's a GOOD THING! There are too many of those out there (myself included!) and clients are wanting REAL voices. The quality of your demo is good, and your investment in having it professionally edited was worth it. If there is any downside, I'd say that I didn't hear variety in your voice. You seem to have basically one pitch, one tonal style, one type of delivery, and it's a type that could work for a lot of clients, but it may limit the work you get. But you're NOT a hard-sell, over-the-top kind of voice, so don't even worry about that kind of work. Go for the jobs that cater to YOUR style, and I think there are plenty of 'em out there.

Matt:
Since you asked, I think you've got the voice and style that seem to be in current vogue. That's promising.
BUT, your demo, methinks, sounds more like your producer's show than yours...
The voice and inflections are essentially the same on each snippet, while the background dances nimbly, and even dwarfs you at times.
I suggest more variance in inflection and tone: different reads for different themes.
As it is, I mean, if you've heard one...you've heard them all.
You'll be fine.

Hey Matthew!

Great voice man! I'd maybe bring the music down just a hair. You're gonna do great!
