In addition to being a highly sought after voice talent (tongue firmly planted in cheek) I pen a satirical advice column that runs in newspapers around the country. It has been kind of stagnating lately as I have been focusing more on the voice stuff but I got a few offers over the past week so I might be expanding some more.

Anyway....I thought some of you might get a chuckle out of it.

Erik

I thought your columns were hysterical. Enough of this PC crap, eh? I am trying to think of some witty letter to write, but the good topics have been taken! (i.e., Thong Dad and Lesbian Wedding!)

What's a poor unfunny girl to do? Well, I can live vicariously though your site!

Enjoyed it...Bookmarked it

Cool

Oh man, this is some seriously funny stuff. I'm going to finish reading every one of them. In the mean time, what's an ice floe???

Thats cool you guys like it. It definitely breaks up the monotony of recording all day when I have no choice but to turn off the gear and pick up a pen. I still deal with a lot of the same BS as voice work being a freelancer but the column is so stupid and fun to do that its worth it.

BTW:

Ice Floe
noun
a flat mass of ice (smaller than an ice field) floating at sea

I heard somewhere that the ancient Eskimos used to stick their old folks on these and push them out to sea. Tough way to go, but I thought it was funny.

Hey I guess with global warming they will be out of their misery even sooner.

You've got some really funny stuff Eric. It's a good thing I'm not still doing stand up comedy or I would have to steal some of your material. Very Happy

I want to voice the Up All Night chick letter and the Wants It All one too.

We should put this all on a CD and sell it!!!!!

Plus it would give me a chance to work on the subtle differences between my NJ accent and my NY accent. Very Happy
