I noticed that in the spreadsheet on the difference between premium and standard subscriptions for Voice123 there was no check mark in the "Ability to audition and send quotes to qualified projects using our state-of-the-art voice auditioning system Voice123 " line or any of the "Global exposure to thousands of Talent-Seekers" categories. Does this mean that my profile will not show up in voice talent searches (potential clients can't find me) if I only have the standard subscription?

Thanks.

Ken

I am in the same boat as you. We can only answer if they send us a private lead directly to us. So we can't even see the possible scripts. Which would be nice even if we couldnt audition. We could at least use them as practice.

Oh well, Until we pay the $195 we can't do much but type in the forums and ask people to critique us.

But welcome to the forums.

Mike

Michael - is there somewhere you get script samples from to practice with, or do you write your own?

Maybe it would be possible for someone to post one that has already been cast so we Standard folks would not be seen as trying to muscle in on an open audition somehow (though since we can't answer open leads, it shouldn't matter anyway). We're just looking for copy to practice on or try out for a demo. Speaking of that, are we allowed to use actual audition scripts for our own demos? It would seem there might be a copyright issue.

I am as new as all of you except I have been here posting only slightly longer. I am playing around with my voice and practicing reading out loud anything I can get my hands on. Someone was nice enough to forward some scripts to me once and that was helpful. But I read anything especially signs on the road while driving and try to make them sound good.

Or you can record a bit of TV and listen to all the voiceovers--write those down and practice. Put a radio next to your mic and record some of those ads too. Magazine ads have been highly suggested here many times so give those a shot first.

Cheers,
Cameron
