I was too busy last night to post here so.... I like to sing Elvis songs to my little kids. I noticed tonight I was missing "Heartbreak Hotel" so I bought it from AmazonMP3 for $0.99 tonight, thought I'd share....

I saw Mr. Diddley live in a club around 34 years ago and he was great. There are a lot of artists over the years whose work has been woven into popular culture, but Bo Diddley is one of the rare ones who helped define it. _________________ For more voice over demos, my life story, and other foolishness, please visit my website at www.leegordonproductions.com

Here is one that is modern......but made to sound 80's ish......I just love this song.....Even though it's made to be bubble gum, fluffy, and silly. I just can't get it out of my head. I want to remake it and make it sound more modern.

Deby,
love to hear your version of that Hugh Grant tune !!
back in the day i was a dark and sullen kinda kid.. heck, i've been wearin black way before the goth kids made it cool !!
while my peers were singin Jesus Christ SuperStar, Moody Blues, 3 Dog Nite, and Jethro Tull, i was doing my best to be the next Lou Reed and a Velvet Undergrounder..
i can sing this song in a Reed kinda way.. and thats scary:
saddly, his Berlin tour never even came close to the puckerbrush.. _________________ "the woods would be very silent if no birds sang except those that sang best."

This might make you feel younger, Colin.
By my estimate, this is the most bone-crushingly rockin' song ever recorded before the rock n' roll era (okay, 1956), and I still think this is easily one of the ten best songs ever - in all genres and cultures: that great. This Nelson Riddle arrangement is insane! Plus, that Frank guy aint too shabby either, pretty good for a guy who had to completely relearn how to sing in mid-career.
