I got a lead for something I feel confident that I can do! So... I answered it Smile

In my notes-to-seeker section, I qualified that the first segment was created using my older, hiss-laden setup, but that the second segment uses my newer, current setup.

And be warned - SINGING IS INVOLVED
It's all my voice. I love harmonising with myself...

Amanda.... it was hard for me to get past the hum at the beginning and the popping plosives. Good harmonies, though. What exactly did the lead ask for?

And you MUST figure out where that terrible ground hum is coming from!

At least through my headphones, the hum is gone in the second song. The bad hum from the first one was caused both by the weak shielding on the cable and my computer fans. I have (hopefully) better equipment en route, which will be a vast improvement once I pick up a copy of Audience.

This was the lead overview:
We are an in house production group adding male and female "Singers" Not voice overs to our roster. This is for jingles for radio stations, all tracks are 30 secondsS and will be sent with melody and text to the singers via MP3. The files then are sent back via host or wave aiff files. All talent must be a studio-singer vocalist PLEASE

It's amazing how completely different our interpretations can be for the same piece of copy. Here's mine for the Liberty News.
(Was I supposed to add some music to that?)

And here's an interesting follow-up on that Liberty spot. I submitted it several hours ago (Sunday afternoon) and it's already been listened to and rated... 5 stars. But the AVERAGE rating so far is 5 stars so that makes the rating no big deal unless mine was one of the first listened to. I just appreciate that the seeker is listening in on a Sunday!

I love the unconventional choice you made on the Liberty audition.
It says "hometown, warm and trusting", not "newsy".
