You are correct, sir... I mis-remember that line because I like aliteration so much.

SSS's sound heavy at the beginning. Any technique suggestions, since I don't have a "De-esser?"
Thanks!

Scott and Bob - great St Mary's reads...
Man, you guys have great pipes!

Here's my take on it:

The place is heating up again...

Boffo Boss 'n Lenny, Joe J....somehow, I'm not surprised.

And I wouldn't fret overmuch about those 'S'es, Kim: they didn't snake much on my side. In order to minimize their leak, though, you may try moving the tip of your tongue just a fraction further back on the roof of your mouth; just a tad. I was more perplexed by the high pitch you put on the word "please". Every single time.

Lovely, warm, down-home bourbon, Thom. If I didn't know better, I'd think you have some sort of special relationship with the stuff.

And, since we're all at the same fishing hole here (where Scott P cornered casual, Bob S aced friendly/informative, and Joe J nailed the "hey, guy; didja hear..." style), I was left only with the wise old Unka approach.

Voices On, All!

Bourbon. It's what's for dinner. saufen

Well, I just realized I screwed up that audition. I read it "Bourbon County" sted "Bourbon Country."

Well that bourbon project is closed and "they" only opened 4 of 109 auditions received - That P.O.s me - I'm going to get 2 fingers right NOW! -

What a waste.....

Here is my "Susan" for the pile...

WOW guys - the place is groovin' and a poppin'~

NICE work everybody! A few comments...

The "Susan Reads"....
Colin, really great - very nice warm tone throughout...bravo.
Scott - I echo Debbie on this, it was too dispassionate and detached for my taste. I didn't "feel it". But your St-Mary's read kicked butt! There be the gold Scott! I'd give you that one hands down.
Jon - not sure why, but I heard cynicism leaking through your entire read... and it just rubbed me the wrong way. I think it needed more compassion or warmth... dunno, maybe just my ears?
Thom - ahhh... Thom.... niedermayr anbeten Beautiful. Exquisite. Perfection. :::sigh:::

Debbie - FANTASTIC MN accent!! You nailed that. You really do sound like a mom! So good. I looked at that script, tried it and laughed. I don't think my voice is suited for "mom" types Confused

Joe - Boss & Lenny?! ROFLMAO!!!! lachtot lachtot lachtot That was amaaazing! I hope you get that one!!

Thom - Bourbon.... your voice is intoxicating......

I submitted over 12 auditions today, including a song. Holy crap. Anyway, a few good character projects for women (finally!) so here's my take on a 911 call for an independent film...(I obviously voiced both the operator and the caller)

OK, here's another one... the direction was "light and not heavy, almost humorous" Hmm Confused
Well, like Scott mentioned in an earlier post, I just did what felt right.

Maggie,

Nice work on the spot for Utah TV. Here's my take on that script.
