Rajiv!!!!!
Thank you, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!
We got the biggest kick out of that!! Your Smithers is perfect!!
And yeah, we're pretty obnoxious when it comes to the Simpsons. We're always quoting it and oftentimes are saying the lines before the characters on the reruns plus we do "Simpson Challenge" Which is not unlike our "South Park Challenge" "Family Guy Challenge" "Robot Chicken Challenge" and for a change-up "Night at the Roxbury" and "Corky Romano" Challenge. Yeah, we're pretty pathetic. LOVE cartoons-- and my kids are older! 19, 18, and 13!!
Thanks Rajiv-- not only are you uber-talented but you're a sweetheart as well. What's up with that? (ha ha!)
Most truly appreciated by these (me and my family) outta control fans!
Smiley faces and star stickers for you!!!

Hi All ~
I actually just posted this on Chit Chat for another reason, but realized that since it was sort of an audition....what the heck? Why not post it here? I really need to start joining in this part of the fun anyway...

Maxine,
Nice... very American!
Only suggestion would be to watch out for the Plosives on your "P" sounds.
Do you have a pop filter?
Aside from that, stellar!
Joe

Hi Joe ~
Thank you so much for your feedback! I was actually just recording this sitting at my desk with my desk top in front of me and not in my booth, so I was probably leaning in too far. I do have a pop filter but I'm guessing I was just too close to the mic. Or maybe I have my filter too close to the mic.
What's the best distance for the pop filter to be from the mic itself? Sometimes I think I have it too close.
Thanks again
xoxo

My pop filter sits fairly close (1"), but that's my personal preference. I also talk across the mike to reduce plosives (instead of directly towards it).
I'm sure there's some rule of thumb for pop-filter distance (but I sure don't know it!)

Hey guys I got a lead today for a audio book job called Snow White British. For some reason I CAN'T get the script file to load up. Audio books are leads that I can get excited about. Are you guys having the same problem or is it my computer??????? !!!!!!!!!!

If you are still having trouble, let me know and I'll email you the PDF file if I can. Just PM your Email.

I got a Snow White lead but mine didn't say anything about "British." I used the same link as Kat provided and it worked for me. Have you been able to open PDF files on-line in the past? If not, it's possible that your browser doesn't have the most up to date Acrobat reader plug-in installed. In that case, you should go to http://www.adobe.com/downloads/ and download it.
