I did that one just before it expired on August 9th. I'm still able to look at the "outbox" of the ones I did before then.

Haven't posted any auditions in a while so thought I would throw in my 1cent here. 3 different products/reads. I think I may have "oversold" though...but you never know.

Dammit, Sid! I didn't want to have to compete against you for that Vets memorial piece!! Crap. You're perfect for it. It was all I could do to NOT put mux behind mine, too. Nicely done!

Remember the Gentry car spot from several days ago? I got a 5-star rating on it with a 2.2 average rating from the seeker. So... there must be someone else who got 5 stars because I haven't heard a peep from them.

Congratulations. I suspect your 5-star rating makes you one of the top 2 or 3 contenders and they just haven't made up their minds yet. My audition for the same job netted me a 2-star (i.e. "bad") rating. I immodestly believe that not only was my demo not "bad" (I even managed to squeeze all that crap into 30 seconds), but that perhaps this seeker was using the star system to internally rank the finalists and I could have been #7 out of 10 or 11 finalists or even #4 out of 5 or 6.

I am posting that audition here so you can judge for yourselves whether it is truly bad. And, BTW, if it is, do not hesitate to tell me. I can take it.

Well....don't worry. I didn't receive the freaking lead anyway. I just liked the script and read for the hell of it. Thanks anyway.

missed out on the loan spot that only wanted 20 auditions (but got 31).. it was the kind of delivery i like, and that makes Mrs. B swoon.. i married a 'fan' from back in my radio daze, ya see ...

anyway, thought i'd save my take just in case the client wanted more auditions...

Excellent read Thom but, being a production guy, you had lots of room to bring the music up for support. I kept trying to "hear" what was going on. Otherwise.....good job.

I hear ya Sid - This was a very slow read with a lot of time between phrases- so I felt some underscore would give them an idea how I would sound with whatever their music selection was - vs. just a dry slow read - I could have pumped the music - but I was not trying to showcase my music selection - nor give them a production per se. Sans some music - it just wouldn't sound right ( to me)

Nice work on "Larry," Sid. I'm just glad they actually listened to mine even if they didn't give me any stars. But what I really want to know is: who got the damn job?

I don't think they've decided yet. I've landed leads after 2 months of the initial audition and this rating just happened this afternoon. We'll see...

Well, you didn't have a choice. I don't think you can find applause and laughter on a Larry the Cable Guy CD.
