I got a direct invitation to audition for some spots for a car dealer in Southern California. For this job, the guy sent out 100 SmartCast invitations plus 23 direct ones. I didn't get that job but just as I was about to go away for the weekend I got an e-mail from the same seeker asking me to read a tag for a credit union client of his. When I got home on Monday I discovered that he did want to hire me for that job.

The only other Voice123 job I have gotten in the past few weeks was another direct invitation, this one from a client I had done work for previously. It was a spot with two characters and an announcer tag and he sent the lead to just me and one other person. I recorded all 3 parts and that's what they ended up going with.
