Okay, just got an e-mail today confirming something I've been working on getting for the past 3 months or so.
I will be going on retainer to Atlanta's NPR station, WABE-FM, to voice the sponsor liners and similar underwriting liners. It's not a huge thing, but what a freakin' HONOR to be picked to do this and have an NPR station on my resume'. It took about 4 rounds of audition submissions, a personal visit to the station, and 2 months to land it, but it finally happened.
And it goes back to what I mentioned in Lisa Zachary Kent's thread here about her national gig... it's who you know. All the work I've landed in the last month has mostly been thru personal contact.
EDITED 9/22: Thought I'd add one of the many, many auditions I had to submit to make this happen. Thought you guys might get a smile out of it.
