By the way, I don't mean to sound elitist.

There are PLENTY of "pukers" making a whole bunch of money doing car spots and other retail work. It ain't pretty, but that's often the sound that's in demand for certain types of spots.

I'll puke with the best of them as long as the check is signed. (Please don't put that on my gravestone) Very Happy

Given my name, I had to go waaayyy out of my way to avoid the "Ronnie Radio" moniker. But we knew others who richly deserved it. Smile

yeah well, the "just a radio announcer" slight does get laid on a bit thick in leads... when used by voice actors or VO pros w/in forums etc, i'm really not sure what the intent is... is it to deride? idunno.. to somehow encourage an announcer such as myself to develop past the 'announcer' genre of VO ?? well, thats how i mostly take it.. then again, i could be real naive about such stuff...

anyway.... back to VO acting lessons....

back in April the puckerbrush was hit by a nasty flood which damaged our Boys & Girls Club.. while part of a group of painters volunteering our trade skills for the needed re-paint i snuck backstage (its the only B&G club in the country w/ a youth theater program) and quickly met someone and inquired about her knowing anyone in theater that could teach me acting... low and behold the woman i talked to said she could help, but not till after the youth theaters season... i never really expected to hear from her..

today she called me... we'll be meeting in a week when i get back from a vacation to Maine...

okay... her name is Toby Tarnow... http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0850558/

amazing what talents find their way to the puckerbrush

ummm... pardon my insecurities but, damn!!! this is scary... in a good kinda way...

Be Well

She was a regular on Mr. Dressup (Canadian Mr. Rogers...sort of...). Suddenly I really like this person. Wink
