Hannibal
I have been away from the forum and I let you get by with out saying Hello to you.
I love to listen to demos from member here it help me learn new things. I especially love demos in other that English (Mid West Style). I didn’t not understand a word in your demo, that's my fault for not keeping up with my studies. I will tell you that I had the strong felling of a professional with year of work and the ablity to deliver copy that is compelling. I’m compelled to get out my Spanish CD and hone my ability to comprenda la lengua de México y de Suramérica
So her goes with the help of a translation source. Hola y recepción _________________ Esse quam videri "To be rather than to seem"

Dear Ed.... Thanks for the replay...
Sometimes it´s a little unfortune not to understand other languages, but is not the end of the world as well. What´s important is inside, and the way we say it.
Thanks again. |

Hi Hannibal.
What part of Mexico are you in? I moved here recently myself--Monterrey. Maybe we can keep in touch about the V/O market here? |

Hi Gregg. Sorry to answer quite a bit late, but happens I was traveling. I was in Mexico D.F. but the city is too much for me, since all my actual businessess are overseas and through internet, I have moved temporary to Cancun, because I´m close to Florida, where I do a lot of business, same with Southamerica... Besides the weather here is incredible for my voice and the enviroment is more relaxed. Even though there is lot of business in tourism here. Presentations, docus, promotions and everything in english and of course spanish... Personally I feel more encourage in warm areas and small cities with a punch than in crowded cities.
Hope we´ll keep in touch... this time more often.
Sincerely
HB

Dear Crsitina...
I was in Mexico City since April and even though I have my son living there, and some friends, definitely the city is not for me... before Mexico I was in Buenos Aires for 3 years, doing a lot dubbing and documentaries (very very low pay) but I wasn´t in BA, for sport I was doing some family things and due to their burocracy I had to stay those years to settle legal matter. So before going back to USA I decided to stay in Mexico for some time, and since my business is mostly through Internet and overseas customers, I can live anywhere.
I moved to Cancun 45 days ago and I´m very pleased here, of course is very laid back, and the weather is great. But is fine with me. Whatever I go I take my portable equipment, that works absolutely great.
I hope we can keep in touch.
Sincerely
HB

Dear Deby... before anything, your resume is quite exciting, a lot of acting and voice overs, cool... Nice voice.
Honestly living here is like a boost for inspirations in my job, besides voice overs I write for documentaries I almost finish writing a documentary where you can get info at http://visionslp.tripod.com and also working on a play for kids about enviromental care and relations with different ethnics, the green and the sea makes me fly. Glad you liked here, people is nice and food is great.
Looking forward to keep in touch with all the good talents in this forums.

I absolutely adore the Little Prince. Great book! I read it after seeing a movie about the life of James Dean. He did a dramatic read from it about "being tamed". |

If my time is OK this coming year I will start producing the documentary of the Little Prince meantime I almost have finished the book Visions of a Little Prince which will be an ebook with tons of links. It took me almost 10 years of research in Saint Exupery´s life, literature and locations in the original places where the author had his inspirations. The Little Prince have been a very interesting inspiration for people of all over the world, many Hollywood stars has been crazy fans from The Little Prince, since the first day that was issued in the States in 1943, do you know that first was issued in english then almost six months later in France few months before Saint Exupery disappear in the mediterranean sea during WWII in a fly mission? Interesting? In fact the best version was in english until 5 years ago was published the original version in french without the censorhip of french publisher.
Glad you loved Little Prince, through this project I have made incredible friends all over.
Cool Deby

Hola Hannibal, que tal!
Has your business changed since leaving the US? Do you find the geography to be anything of an obstacle?
The last time I was in Cancun, I spent most of my time in various bars so I don't really remember much of it except that it was FUN!

Dear Joe...
Honestly change a little bit, with my steady customers of US they don´t have any problems at all, in fact they worried more when I was living in Buenos Aires, which is very far away and is a big obstacle... but now in Mexico is not a problem, for the new ones maybe. But many think that Mexico is like Tijuana and that´s a drawback. Actually I have customers in Europe (england, france, italy) Australia, Canada, China, India and Philipines. But in the other hand the number one market still is US... If I think to come back to US? definitely yes. Mostly the communication system where internet is faster, post office is trusty, institutions and law system and many other things-
But sometimes we have to be closer to the loved ones, like I´m doing now. Also to live close to the beach and the sunny weather is very encouraging to keep doing it... Cancun is faster and closer to Miami to where I have customers and good friends for years.
Un saludote
Hannibal

Hannibal,
Ay si! Me gustaria estar corriendo por las playas despues de un poco de trabajo pero como vivo en New Jersey, es dificil.
I am glad you are able to have the best of both worlds, business and pleasure. Someday, perhaps I will join you in such a paradise. In the meantime, I will continue slugging away from New Jersey until such time as I too can work my business while working on my tan!
