I've been doing quite a few television commercials and branding videos lately and this company finally put one of them on You Tube. I think i submitted the dry voice here on Savvy already, but...Yay, video! Let me know what you think.

Wow... I have really mixed feelings about the spot.
But right up front let me say your part is STELLAR! I'm serious... your v/o is terrific, 'ember.
I'll be honest, though, and say I personally didn't care for the spot (now don't go gettin' all mad at me everyone! I already said 'Ember's part was the bomb...). But I didn't think the music fit the images well at all, and it took a long time to get to the meat of the message. But all of that are quibbles from a guy who has written commercial copy for years (and much of it very BAD commercial copy, too!).
But I'd take 'Ember's voice in a heartbeat!

I was going to make a similar comment to Scott's. September's VO was outstanding but, over all, the spot didn't work for me. I understand the concept of making the viewer think it's one thing (a spot for EMS or REI or Cabela's or some similar outdoor outfitter) and suddenly springing something completely different (coffee), but once it was revealed that it was a coffee spot, they needed to immediately say what brand of coffee it was. Another job for September.
