I've been wanting to improve on "dialogues" and took a shot at this lead too. I think they're more difficult to audition for. I sometimes read both parts for a little more continuity and flow. I didn't do it here but bad idea?

Dave, I really like your delivery on these types of leads--like that other gig you just did recently.

Cheers,
Cameron

Might as well throw my "Roomie" into the mix with the others.

Dunno, Lee, but God bless 'em, they've so far listened to 98% of the 106 auditions they've received and the lead is still open!

Maggie: Nice to hear you back again. Wow. This is SO in your zone. I could just SEE the smile in your voice. I've never heard anyone make so many seven-ninety-nines sound so natural! Great!

Scott - thanks for the kudos - I appreciate it! I laughed out loud at your seven-ninety-nines comment because when I read the script I thought "good lord, that's a lot of nines!" One thing to see them in print - a whole nuther thing to read them. I've been pretty busy so I haven't had much time to spend on the forums... but I do poke my head in once in a while.

Btw, really enjoyed your Christmas read. Wasn't your usual SP read. There was more emotion and depth to it than usual. Nice work!!

Wish I could comment on other people's reads but I have to get back to memorizing my script for a medical video I'm shooting tomorrow for Astra Zeneca (god bless our repeat clients!)

Well Eric I did all the steps not the half steps. I'm still kinda snotty. I didn't audition at all yesterday, but I did manage to get this one out tonight. It's not my melody. They asked for it to be to the chorus of My Oh My by the Wreckers. I'm glad that one is on U-tube. It could be tighter, but it's one of those "budget to be defined" ones. Hard to get motivated on that. I did find out that my cowgirl hat does not fit over my headphones.......Yeeee Haaa. ( there's emoticons with baseball hats, top hats.....where's my cowgirl hat emoticon???)

I got a 4 stars on my last jingle

Colin - very nice Habersham read - getting better and better!

Maggie - Smooth - and natural as usual...
Scott - Warm Christmas read - (I used the same music 5 also..)
Dave - Liked your Christmas read also... very warm storytelling style - And Lee and James - so many 5s - so little time... tough choice...

Here is my version - and the very fun Whistler...

Excellent effort on the "Whistler" Thom. That's difficult to do and highly specialized. I'm always impressed when I listen to the opening tune of "The Andy Griffin Show" but if you listen real close you'll notice that he wasn't perfect....but it worked. I could have done without the reverb though.

James... Nice delivery on the Christmas spot. Calm, peaceful delivery, but just a bit of a sing-songy rhythm to my ears. Still, nicely done and no doubt you got a '5' on it.

Lee... I always enjoy listening to you because you always sound like a warm and loving granddad. Your Christmas delivery, like all the rest, is deserving of winning this one.

Deby... don't think I don't love you, because I do. I just hate... hate.... jingles. Sorry, but you already know this. The one thing I think your jingles need is harmonies on the backing vocals. What I'm hearing is more just backing vocals, but not with complementary harmonies. Bear in mind this critique is being presented by a guy who can't hit the side of a barn with a note. (Other than on guitar or keyboard!)

David... Not having seen the Alvin Screech lead it's hard to figure out what they wanted. I enjoyed your delivery though.

Thom...
I'm so envious. Interestingly, even though I'm a horrible singer I'm an excellent whistler, BUT having braces right now keeps me from being able to whistle a darned thing. I otherwise would have gone after this one. But after hearing yours I'm glad I didn't. That was INCREDIBLE! Fan-damn-tastic!!!

And what do I need to say about your Christmas Story? You Wilkinsed it, as we wish we all could do!

Finally, one I submitted this morning that I was pleased with...

We've heard from Owlvin Screech before. A long time ago. I'll have to go dig it up.

Here's my Christmas Story...
