First Gig from TOS

Upon the encouragement from a Savvy friend or two (you know who you are)I signed up over at TOS at the beginning of the year. Just landed my first job from it yesterday (which more than covered the fees)... so now anything else is, as they say, "gravy". I guess it's true... ya gotta spend money ta make money.

It's for a corporate DVD for a boat manufacturer.

I've been sick this week and have little to no voice, but fortunatley this wasn't a "need it yesterday" thing, so I've got a day or two to get back to 100% voice.

Anyway... nice way to finish the month.

Way to go, my friend! I've had WAY less success there than here, but still enough to more than justify their MUCH MORE REASONABLE membership fees.

I know for a fact this will be but one of MANY more for you.

Nice going. In about 4-5 months, I have submitted around 365 custom auditions over there and have landed exactly one job -- for which I have not yet been paid and am not suprememly confident I will be.

Way to go Dave! It's not easy getting a job over there. The place feels like a black hole. I keep throwing auditions at it and they don't seem to ever stick.

I know I got one job there, maybe two in two years.
