1st through TOS

Got my first gig through TOS . I don't usually answer those leads..don't really know why...anywho, had some time on Friday...answered it...got it...got paid!!
When I listen to it though, it sounds kind of distorted..or hot or something...feedback anyone?

First of all, congrats on landing one of those oh-so-elusive voices-dot-com jobs that seem next-to-impossible to ever grab! It sounds okay to me, not too hot, but there was a slight bit of 'warble' to it, as if the file was a bit damaged in uploading.

But none of that matters at all. I'm just thrilled you got the gig!!!

Thanks Scott, I've never heard of files being damaged in the upload...is that common? Could there be something wrong with my equipment?

Also, it would be interesting to find out how many V123 subscribers are also subscribers to TOS. (perhaps another thread)I know I prefer this site because I know how many people I'm competing against for a job, I know if the job is even still open when I audition and most importantly I know if it's been heard. The rating thing is ambiguous...you can feel great one day, bad the next and you don't even know why...Who needs that in a feild that requires confindence. I always hope I'm not rated so I can assume they loved me Laughing

Hi Marilyn,

First of all, congrats! I auditioned for that one too, and I understand why you got it. I subscribe to both sites and while I've had more success with this site, I've done about 4 jobs with TOS in the last 12 months and 3 came from Private leads, so it easily paid off the fee. I really try to audition and forget about it and I think of auditions as practice. Congrats again!

Actually, I've done much better at voices than here this past year. Doesn't much matter to me whether I know who heard me or not, or how many up against -- getting the gig is all that matters in either place!
