My fellow Americans, it is time to let your voice be heard.

If you see a lead, read it and together we can take Savvy in a bold new direction with a future full of promise and hope.

God bless the LAR. Thank you and goodnight.

The average was 2.4 on the "Makeit" auditions Scott. Kinda tells me that nobody even got close to what they were looking for, which also tells me they didn't explain it very well.

(the other thread where you asked is locked)

You know I never noticed until I started VO that McCain whistles his S's.

Anyway this is actually a couple of weeks old but, I did get a 5 star rating on it. No job mind you just a 5 star rating.

If anyone want's to hear my "adult" auditions they can pm me. LOL

Deby, funny you mention that about McCain. I was back stage at a late night show he was doing last year, and I saw the sound engineer actually working feverishly before air time to clean up his esses!

I haven't had much to post recently either because I missed 'em or they just didn't come my way, but here's a couple that I just put together. The PHH got me a harsh '2' with a 2.9 average, but I think it's really better than that. There wasn't much in the way of instruction. Can anybody tell me why they might have given it a 2?

"Hey, it's Alex" is for a video game and I don't know the results yet.

Deby:

Great job on the Hyp..no.....tis...zzzzzzzzzzzzz schlafen

Was there direction included?

Here's what - I - heard. A slow - ness - of pace. A lot of air in here. And there was a very odd elongation of the word "results" near the top. It went on for quite a while.

Overall, it was also very formal in the delivery. I felt a bit like I was being preached at instead of part of the team. Loosen up a bit, connect with the words.

These are not easy to read, so you really have to get into the relationship between you and the listener. Err on the side of conversationality - that will help you understand the intent and then you can inject more formality if it is necessary.

A harsh 2 for mine as well. I can only surmise that the reason is, if they have an idea what sort of read they wanted, they either didn't know how to convey it in their instructions, or they kept that info to themselves.

Here's all they said, "Estimated 3 minute multimedia presentation covering our exciting new process improvement initiative. No sound effects or background music required."

I guess David and I were not as excited about this as they were.

And Deby -- I feel so relaxed, I almost forgot about getting worked up about getting a 2.

Connie:

Before submitting the PHH, I had another take that was faster in pace, but I thought it was too hurried, so I slowed it down but really just a bit. In reality, perhaps the faster one would not have been too fast at all.

My reason for slowing down on "Rally for Results" was to emphasize the title of their customer satisfaction program rather than glossing over it too quickly. That was my intention but I guess it did drag a little to much and is a possible reason for the 2 rating.

PHH leases vehicles to corporations of all sizes and I was trying to think of the average business person who might be playing this audio/video and how they might like to hear it. Most probably wouldn't remember the name of another company's customer satisfaction program launched five years ago.

But thank you for your observations, I'll keep them in mind.

Lee:

Don't know why they didn't like your PHH so well other than the missing rah-rah, which they didn't even ask for.

That's great, Colin -- but what is it that they requested?

I think it was "genealogy music." Or...as I read it...PRODUCTION.
Now mind you, this looks like a questionable job. A school presentation of some sort. 30 seconds.. $100. I'm fine with that though, if that is indeed what happens but I have my doubts.

Sadly, this person is still shopping. The latest...
