Count me in! I also would love to get involved.

I have a good friend that's blind, and he tells me the thing he wishes for the most is being able to read. He says radio is great, for news, it's always available, for the current topics, he'd love something a bit more geared to a multi subject magazine style. Oh, and he's got a "best of show" 1964 Cherry Red Corvair, white rag top. He can be seen driving it Shocked

around with a friend in some of the empty parking lots, at night of course!

Wow - this is great! Thanks everyone for volunteering and the positive comments. I was pretty sure going into this that I would get a good response because I know VO people are very giving etc.! Must be all the time spent in very quiet / padded rooms! Smile

A few people have asked if the news articles should be assigned or how to avoid duplication. One of the aspects I like about doing this for the show I produce is the ability to pick my own material / articles. I want to make sure everyone enjoys doing this and since as VO people we usually have to spend the bulk of our time reading what other people ask of us, this can give us a chance to read what we are interested in.

I was thinking about maybe starting a msg thread here on VOSavvy.com each week and maybe each person who supplies a story could post the title and URL to the story they want to supply. It might also be a delivery method as you could post your MP3 of the article you read and then I could download them all and edit them together and distribute it on another server as it would end up being a pretty big file. Does anyone know the MB limit on this board for attachments?

I'm going to let this roll for another day or 2 and then PM everyone to get it going. Hopefully we can do a pilot next week!
