Thanks Diane, Allen, and Caryn! And yes, they were very specific about PLAH-ZAH. I was told I have a voice like a fresh American Kate Winslet! Woot!! Very Happy

September -- I can hear that -- an American Kate Winslet! Cool.

Caryn -- Yeah, I thought the Hershey thing was asking a lot for the money, too. Perhaps they'll throw in some chocolate, though.

Caryn,
Well it was a "flexible $50".....but I asked for $100 since it was a full page of work. Maybe that is why I got a 3 star rating on it. I really liked the script though. It doesn't make much sense with out the male voice....but I thought it was interesting....And I've always loved chocolate.

Maybe I'll have better luck with Cadbury's some day keine ahnung

Eric I loved your tough NY Cat!!!!

I love Kate's Winslet's voice......but your voice is much more sexy than hers.

Frank...."That shady guy at the mall" had a stubble pause in between That and shady. Those tiny mistakes let people know that the thought is not yours....something that your reading......I love your voice though.

Did anyone get the Parody airline Fight attendant lead? I would love to post it....but they said not to put on You Tube.....so I'm not putting here either.

Hey Deby, thanks for the feedback.

Let's discuss that stubble pause (wink) further.

It was used to make it sound like a thought the person is just having, and I've been taught to use it to make a read sound more conversational/ (mental block, what's the word for a regular person giving their opinion on something?)

If it's a tip off to a bad read then I don't want to do it.

Well Frank....for an audition I think it was in general good.....and if that was the only pause it might have been ok, but there were many and it just seem to drag a bit. That's just my opinion though. I really do like your voice and even your accent is soft enough.

I think what might have come off as searching for the word would be saying it twice...That, that shady guy at the mall....

Just for you Frank.....It's not a classic I have a speech problem stutter it's more I can't think of what to say next stutter.

Frank, I see where you were going with that. But b/c I was listening for it, I can't offer an objective opinion on that pause. Makes sense now that you've explained it, but I can't tell you if it would've made sense if you hadn't. In general, I thought it was a good take!! Very conversational! I do hear a lot of room noise/reflection? in your recordings though.

Deby, I did get that parody inflight lead, but opted not to respond. You must think I'm a real snob. I just didn't like the idea of slamming the company and it being on YouTube (which is what I understood).

Rolling Eyes I know, I'm weird....

Travis, this comment is not an evaluation of your audition, it's merely a perspective:

Your Cat#3 read reminded me a TON of those old movie newsreel announcers from the 50's. Very cool.

I'm surprised no one stuck in a purr after the product service name.

I..

REALLY

WAAAAAAAAAAAANT

The Cats Eye gig!!!! Cool

I'm going to give myself some cred. here on this one (definetely NOT on the audio quality). Notice the M's? yeeeaaaah that's because a Cat would certainly say his M's as if he's going to meaow! right?! ahhhhhhhhh I've officially gone nuts over here trying to think like a cat. I thought of that JUST before I pressed the "is everything okay" button, then the apple fell, went back, and recorded again haha

Whatcha guys thinkin? Did I do well? Sorry if I've offended anyone with my attempt at a NYC accent, if it even was one.

DEBY That purr was inserted JUST for you haha

Celia....Welcome. Your read seems a bit choppy to me.

Simon.....I love the M's. the purr did not come off as spontaneous or sly though....but just the fact that you put one in I think would make a difference. ( Did they ask for a NY accent?)

I miss read the Jetblue airline thing.....It said it may or may not be on you tube......so here it is. Tell me if it's funny.
