Will the cat people repost?

Will Jadah finally snap?

Will any of these even be opened?

For answers to these questions and more, tune in to this week's exciting new episode of Leads & Reads........

More cats!

I submitted the first one and after going to the site I thought they might be looking for more of a superhero. I went with a Mighty Mouse kinda sound. Opened, but not rated.

I missed the second one, but submitted two variations of the NY one. The seekers may not be altering their thinking. The have locations in NY and on the west coast and might be looking for different sounds for each.
Maybe more then one of us can get the gig. Very Happy

Oh and Simon and Melba, Peter Lorre was an influence on John K. to create the voice of Ren for Ren and Stimpy. Billy West altered it a bit when he took over the voice.

Ok, I'll post my Accuchek PSA. Diane, I thought your read was spot on! Really nice!!!

I almost didn't do it b/c it asked for "middle age" but I thought, what the heck, and gave it a shot! I got a 4. (PS: my audio might sound a little wonky... I was having audio issues last week.)

I got a call back audition today for the wrangler jean website. They asked me if they could hear me do the whole the script before they said yes. Since I was asking for more money than what they had posted I thought it was a reasonable request.

Here it is

Thanks for the Tornado comments -( Now - I do tend to [over] produce documentary auditions unless specifically requested not to. )

Lee and Simon - really liked your cats eyes- I think the higher register really worked for the character... Lee's NY character really great - Simon's - Faboulous! Great growl! and Travis - Scott's right - very 50s (GREAT interpretation) Now I do think the Cat's Eye people are playing us a bit like "a cat with a mouse" - 3 times? Hummmmm ...Robert/Simon your comments are right on.

Now for something different (for me) - SNL - corp announcement - from TOS

Deby -- That was outstanding. BTW, isn't it so much easier to do a first class VO job when you start with a well written script?

Thom -- Thanks for the kind words. I don't know if the Cat people are playing a Cat & Mouse game with us. I prefer to think they are just open-minded. Wink

No fancy production on my Don Pardo-ish demo for Voices, but here it is.

Great job Lee. I actually thought of you when I saw the Pardo read come through. Right up your alley.

Diane, I just saw that about Pardo turning 90, too, and could NOT believe it! He's the same age as my mom, and while she's in great shape for her age, Pardo looks AMAZING!

After hearing Thom's, I wasn't going to post mine, but since Lee put a dry one up, here's mine, although personally I hate it.

Scott -- That's what I imagine Walter Cronkite would sound like as a game show announcer.

BTW, I am old enough to remember hearing Don Pardo as the announcer on The Price is Right. Not the one with Bob Barker or Drew Carey -- the original with Bill Cullen. I can hear him now -- "Price authority, Michael C. Fina Jewelers, New York" or "Price authority, the Spiegel Catalog, Chicago, 3, Illinois" or "Price authority, Schiaparelli Furs" back when it was still politically correct to give away mink coats on game shows.

Oh, what the heck. I just added some music to my Pardo demo, just for fun. I submitted it dry, but this version is just for the amusement of us Savvy-ites.
