Hello,

Based on my page and demos, what can I do to get better/spruce the page/snag more gigs?

Feel free to ditch the kid gloves. I've done radio AND I'm married. It's impossible to hurt my feelings.

Thank you in advance

Well, yes. You certainly have worked in radio.

Look, you've got a very friendly, approachable, slightly wiseguy appeal to your voice...but most of what's on your page is high-energy (even the stuff you called low energy, believe me) with the heck compressed out of it. Way too "radio". And why does everything sound like it was recorded in a shower stall? The shower door character, yes, I can understand (which is a fun clip by the way)

Okay, I'm meandering. In short, the demo at the top of your page is too long and the interesting stuff didn't even start 'til about halfway through. Everything to that point had the same high-energy radio "imaging" feel to it. And all that crashing sound at the open is like an assault. I nearly jumped out of skin and ripped the cans off my head. If you lopped off the first entire minute, it would only make it better, in my opinion.

Do some real guy stuff for your next demo...I believe you've got it in you. Turn off the compression. And no shouting. I mean it! Whisper in my ear. Let me hear vulnerability and more humor and wryness.

Thank you much Melba. Yes, compression can turn into a bad thing and I'm working to become more "normal". The main demo is from last year and I've worked on the one dimensional delivery since. Thanks for your feedback!
