Man, I remember when we upgraded from the vinyl to 10" open reels of the Network library. There were - what? - 1000hz tones? - in between the cuts so as you fast-forwarded the reels you could count the cue tones to more or less (mostly less) have an idea which cut you were forwarding to.

Ah the good old days. When we walked to work every day in the snow. Uphill. Both ways.

With baked potatoes under each armpit to stay warm.

Remember the "stingers" after each cut so you could customize the endings? Growing up in a small southern town, all the spots on the local radio stations ended with a stinger.

Here's an example of my regular use of Digital Juice. Had a rush request come in tonight from the radio station to voice and produce this (overwritten) spot, and was able to find just the right piece of music in my BackTraxx library.

Man, it seems every spot I've ever had to lay down has suffered from dense copy. And in my radio days, we had no choice but to serve up :63s again and again.
