Hello all, and Happy New Year.
I just picked up a Xenyx1204 with USB. I'm using Adobe Audition on a Dell XPS. I've got it set up, but the mixer is not reading the microphone input. Anyone have any suggestions or familiarity with this mixer? The microphone works.
Thanks,
GN |

Hello Guy
I'm not very familiar with this Behringer product, but as far as I know it dows not provide phantom power. What type of microphone do you use, dynamic, condenser? Do you use an external pre-amp?

Thomas ... Is it true that Berhinger is German for "Style over Substance"?
Easy - easy, I'm kidding. It's a joke, a joke I tells ya. |

Lol! My dictionary doesn't say anything like that, but I know what you mean... In fact, Behringer's "style" is well known and appreciated, but perhaps it's because of his very affordable prices why many people do not expect much "substance" in his products. I do have a couple of Behringer's in my studio (BCF2000, Patchbay, digital UltraVoice 2496) and I don't want to miss them, on the other hand there are many Behringer products I would *never* use. Why? Well, last year I tried to buy an additional third UltraVoice. No chance, I've called each and every official Behringer dealer in Germany and Switzerland, I even called Behringer in Germany directly - result: no single item on stock. I've asked them, when that they'll be available again. They couldn't give me an answer. After calling again and again they promised to contact me as soon as the next item will be in stock. I finally found out that Behringer decided to produce the item for the asian market only and stopped selling it in Europe. So, if I need a piece of very important equipment I would *never* trust in Behringer - not because of a lack in substance but because of a lack in style regarding "customer relationship".

Guy: I just got my new X 1204 to replace the old UB802 and - so far, think it's a fine mixer. I'm also using Audition 1.5...
I don't use the USB interface, but I think you may have to setup the sound source from within Audition. On version 1.5, it's found in Options/Device Properties within the "Wave In" and "Wave Out" tabs.
Not sure that will fix it, but worth checking? |
