Wondering what advice y'all can give for getting your profile noticed on Voice123. Now that I have regular studio access, I've finally upgraded and I really want to make sure that I maximize my subscription, y'know?

I've added tags, descriptions, etc. But is there anything else I can do to up the odds of getting heard? I've dug and dug on Voice123 and there is some good information, but I'd like to hear from those of you out here - what changes have you made to your profile to get yourselves noticed and what kind of results did you see? (and please don't recommend that I add more demos - I'm workin' on it, I'm workin' on it! Rolling Eyes (I'm attaching my current demo)

Also curious how long it took before you started receiving leads?

I'm so thrilled to finally be committing to this. Despite my severe claustrophobia, I'm never happier than when I'm crammed into a booth with a live mic and some copy!

Thanks!
Gina

Love, love, love your voice. Demo is really tight, too. Felt a little long, but it's great -- I'm just ADD, probably. Laughing

Seeing as how you're in LA, I'd exploit that for all you've got. I assume you have an agent? If not, get one. Now. You've got a great character sound. I would think you can stay plenty busy in the real world.

As far as getting more attention to your page here or getting the right kinds of leads, it's kind of a crap shoot, I think. I get leads all the time that have nothing to do with any descriptive on my site. I get leads for adult content and low budget in spite of the fact that I've opted out of those kinds of leads. There are various theories floating about as to how the magical talent listing order is determined on v123 when a seeker does a search with targeted attributes. I'm not sure anyone here really knows the answers you seek. I'd say just make sure you're truthful and have described your voice in terms that might commonly be used: friendly, textured, husky, young, bright, character, etc.

Bottom line -- I wouldn't worry. Focus your marketing in the read world first --that's still where the better money is. And FWIW, you have the voice I've always wanted for myself. Use it well. I'll be looking for you in the credit roll, darling.

WOW! I'm with Melba! Man, this is good, good, GOOD stuff! Like Melba said, if you don't already have 4 or 5 agents, go get 'em!!!

I can't imagine you not going really far in this biz. I LOVE your voice and demo. Glad I'm not a chick competing with you (guess I'll cancel that sex change operation I had planned for next month....)

Wink

Surprised Hi Gina,
I really like your voice. I think you sound like Rachael Ray, the cook, does any one ever tell you that?
I can't really answer your question better than Melba. I'm sure once you send in a few auditions you will be getting jobs in no time at all as you have such an energetic fresh yet husky voice. Best of luck to you!

Make sure you spell my last name correctly. People are always adding a 'c' to it.....
