LEADS AND READS - WEEK OF 4/14 TO 4/20

David and Robert -- I do enjoy comparative reads, especially when trying to match them to directions. I learn so much from this.

Let me start by saying how much I loved both of these two very different styles.
David's was friendly, easy and uptempo, Robert's more languid and dreamy. I'd say both could be perceived as cowboy-ish. Robert's read was downright John Wayne-ish. Had he been Canadian. Both knowledgeable. Now, to the last one -- who sounded more confident? If by confident we imply aggressive, then neither was pushy or salesy. If by confident, we mean matter of fact, then both hit the mark.
David's was more straightforward -- Robert's distracted me, almost entranced me, by his characterization.

And Robert -- David said "WeekDAY warrior" -- there would be your difference. Though I'd say a warrior and a stud are different anyway -- one makes war, the other love, eh?

As always, what were they really looking for? Who knows?
But I enjoyed them both.

David, nice read on the Fowler - clean and clear. A winner.

However, I worship at the "character" feet of Mr Jadah - RJ, I think you gave them what they wanted based on their description (a wonderful piece that reminded me of the VISA commercials "Down on milemarker 48 is Tina's restaurant; there's no sign out front, but if you want the finest stone crabs, the locals know this is the place blah blah"). Very well done.

However, for me, I kept worrying about mulch in my coffee. That would be a triple, double.

This forum is a great reminder of how tough the seekers have it in selecting from such good work.

I gave the Fowler audition a shot (in character)... even though I had no idea what a double double was. Laughing

No music, just a read of a portion of the script.

I had the pleasure of putting together an audition with Diane Merritt this afternoon... only to have the job close before I could submit it. Diane's such a great talent and it seemed like a shame to have it go unheard, so I thought I'd share it with my Savvy friends...

This one's actually from last week, but I saw some folks posted there's. After hearing them, I'm feeling somewhat timid about posting mine. It's that wine company with the different accents. I think I may have gone slightly overboard, but it is what it is!
