THE NEW YORK VO SEASONAL RENDEZVOUS

Well...our rendezvous was a smashing success, I believe...particularly as we are now committed to seasonal/quarterly get-togethers...what a wild ride to actually meet some of the folks we spend so much "virtual" time with-

And - just for the record-

Deby Cedars is very pretty in pink-
Erik Sheppard's wit is even more sparkling in person-
Lissa Farrell is even cooler than I had imagined ('cause she lives in my 'hood-)
And Diane Havens is an absolute knockout (for anyone who had any doubts) - inside and out - what a sweetheart-

There were a lot of laughs - some more folks - Liz, Melissa and Veronica from other networks...some inevitable shoptalk that yielded a bunch of great new information for all of us as we shared our own experiences...and much more to come for those of you who missed us yesterday-

A big thanks to all who made the effort and came out yesterday to make our very first VO rendezvous a success!

What a pleasure to meet such fine and talented folks.

Peter did try to play footsies with me under the table, but otherwise it was a fine event.

Now, Erik -- cut the trash talking. I'm a big West Coast fan too, you know, so I take offense. But I will give you this -- we are one hip group here on the East Coast.

Peter, again, thank you for your initiative in getting us together. (And for your flattering comments! You're very sweet.) I was amazed by one thing in particular -- the ease we all felt with one another, as if we had been sharing the same workplace in more than a virtual way. It was a wonderful collegial atmosphere -- and, along with the drinks, a collegiate atmosphere as well.

Looking forward to next time!
