Class assignment . . . lol

I know this is going to sound like some kind of class assignment, but I am actually really interested. It has always fascinated me as to why people live where they do. I am sure some of you live in cities that are more conducive to your career choice, however, in the time of living you must have developed a fondness for some aspects and a dislike for others. So to all who read please recite Where you live (can just be state if you are the kind that likes internet anonymity), Born there or moved there, Likes and dislikes.

I really enjoy hearing the voices of those in this place, so if you would like to do this either by written word or a small recorded sample that is fine. Either way, please reply. Thanks again.

I shall start us off:

I live in Knoxville, tn, but was born in Ft. Myers Florida. We moved to KY in 1985 and it was here our house/family business burned down in 2002; that brought us to the Volunteer state -- I always said God put a fire under our tails hahah.

I really love the Mountains and hills that TN has to offer. Beautiful, quaint little towns, and very friendly people. Besides most of them say Yella (yellow) . . . like I do and that makes me fit in.

I do not like CONSTRUCTION! Good lord. I cannot turn a corner in this city without seeing a "Road Under Construction" or "Detour" sign. As of right now -- and for the next 16 months -- interstate 40 E and W have been closed in a 15 mile stretch. Detours galore with that one.
