Dick Martin, the zany half of the comedy team whose "Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In" took television by storm in the 1960s, making stars of Goldie Hawn and Lily Tomlin and creating such national catch-phrases as "Sock it to me!" has died. He was 86.

How terribly sad to say goodbye to such an incredible man. So wonderfully smart, spontaneous, irreverent and gorgeous.
I had a wild crush on him for years and used to watch Laugh In all the time. It reminds me of the early days of Saturday Night Live with Gilda and all the rest.
I miss the days of comedy when there didn't need to be all the profanity and extreme jokes to get a laugh.
