|
|
In the world of corporate events with an audience, the VOG (voice of god) is the off-stage announcer, the one who's heard but never seen. I've done pre-recorded segments for shows like these, but never LIVE.
I've been asked for my rate to do a LIVE four or five hour event here in Dallas. Any ideas for a ballpark figure? I've not seen this type of work in any of the Rate Sheets.
Thanks for your input! _________________ www.kentlaturno.com |

| I do some work for a live show and video production company that hires performers for convention. They usually work up to a 10 hour day for anywhere from $500 to $1200, depending on whether they're product models, award presenters, VOG announcers or singers/dancers. I'd say set your rate somewhere in that range and you'll be fine. |

I enjoy doing those a few times a year, Kent. Any more often becomes drudgery. ("And now, for the Best New Sales Team - Discontinued Products Division - for the Southeastern Sector; Western Province.....").
I'm paid $750 for three hours, plus travel time of $75/hr.
