Actually, Ed, it's a Studio Projects C1...the newer version with the upgraded electronics. I see the resemblance to the 22-251, though.

Aaand, on that note, here's my studio. Probably explains a few things, eh?
I now have the laptop actually about 2 feet away from the microphone now, from when that photo was taken.

The mic on top of the computer monitor is the talkback mic for phone-patch. The MKH-416 is in the adjacent treated walk-in closet.
And yes, I monitor in mono 90% of the time.
