Music Library Recommendations

Not that my production is any thing to write home about, but I have actually backed off doing it. It takes to darn long and I bet that 90% of the jobs are awarded to someone on the first 30 respondents.

I also think it is improving my reads. Knowing that I am not going to hide something behind music or effects makes me try just a little harder and find a little bit more meaning in the copy.

Scott, as far as DigitalJuice goes have you ever checked out "StackTraxx", audio that you can instantly edit as you please or use it as is, I've been getting emails offering a StackTraxx for $24.95, pick a box then go to "Gallery", now click on "STACK", not only can you use that track but you can edit that track and mix it with others as you please, the possibilities are endless (software included).

I know what watermarks are and sometimes use them but what do you mean by 'uniform' watermarks..it there one in prticular that everyone is using? Question

Hi Marilyn,

By "uniform" I mean the same "Voice123" watermark would be applied to all auditions. Currently, each talent decides whether or not to use a watermark and it's particular sound.

'Uniform" here has been taken as socialism (or worse), so beware Smile

Dunno about you guys, but I don't have the time (or the interest) in adding music to auditions. And at the risk of sounding like some crusty old curmudgeon, any producer worth their salt doesn't expect music in an audition. In fact, I've never heard of it in over 25 years.

Of course, I rarely provide music or fx with my finished audio. I leave that up to the client, but they know that up front. I have however, been looking for a reasonably priced music library for that 0.5% of the time I'm asked about it, and you guys have made some excellent suggestions - appreciate it!

By the way, I know what you guys are talking about when you mention old, tired, outdated libraries. Those seem to be the affordable ones. I was using those in the 80s when they were on vinyl! Rolling Eyes
