Okay, I know I'm the guy always saying how there's so little character voice work out there, and it's true. But I'm working on a new demo cd to send out to prospective clients and wanted a character voice demo on there to go along with my 'straight' demo to show versatility. It's too long to use here as my generic demo on V123 at a tad over 2:00, but I'd appreciate your thoughts on this as I prepare to burn my cds.

Thanks friends!

Hey Scott-
For a guy who doesn't work much on character stuff, you are awfully good at it. The Eggberto spot rocks...

I wasn't buying the Austrailian accent, you do a heckuva job as a snooty english woman though.

Isn't "hug the wall" just processing your regular voice?

Did you have these all just laying around and put them together?

Overall, like everyhting you do, impressive.

lol...... snooty English Woman eh? Um, that wasn't me, George....

Many of these are from quite a few years ago. I get very few calls at all now to do any character voices and they're usually not over-the-top like these. Here's an actual v123 job I got last summer for a so-called character voice. They wanted a "Southern Gentleman" sound for a quote from Edgar Cayce.

Scott,

Your voice/voices speak for itself/themselves. I found most of them rather believable, let's say 99%. You really have to put your whole self into characters to pull them off and you do that ratther well.

"Rush hour on the main drag" guy was about the only one I did not like and did not find believable. Voice Impersonation and Caricature are typically based in reality to some extent.

You are the man.

Not you Scott Surprised
Say it isn't so. I was hoping I could use you in my off, off, off broadway reproduction of Mary Poppins.

Wow. These are great Scott! I think there could be a little more energy with the transitions, some of them felt a little "new clip coming" to me, instead of keeping me on my toes wondering what you're going to do next!

The voices though - wow. Really love 'em. I do agree with George that the Australian accent wasn't quite working for me, but I really liked it. I'd like to hear the "Hug the wall" in an extreme villain character. Smile

Great work though. Smile Very believable characters!
