What is a "9 channel condenser?" I can't make heads or tails of that term.

I'm not familliar with either of those mics Heather but a little Googling on them shows them to be very low end.

Well it was worth a shot.

I just wrote down what was on the mixer (?) I was looking at.

I will see if I can take a photo of it and post it. Maybe then it can be identified.

That's a "powered mixer" for PA work. Pretty sweet looking unit but not really cutout for VO work. Oh... PA stands for "Public Address" or addressing a large crowd. I guess if you can have it for free, I'd take it but it won't suit your needs well.
