| Vic....don't ever worry about anything you get like that, whether you think it might be boring or not. I found it fascinating and very interesting. Post that stuff man. That is just so cool. It's a good thing I don't know Don....he seems like such a cool cat, I would probably be pestering that man continuously. hahahahaha. |

Terrific! Even someone as jaded as I am - an avowedly disinterested non-Oscar person - thoroughly enjoyed Don's account. I imagine a handful of us here are starting to feel almost as if we're friends with him.
Hmmmm....wonder if he has extra room in his house......... _________________ Scott R. Pollak

| Man....I'll tell ya....Vic chats with the Don on the phone...peruses the forums with him.....gets detailed emails from him.....no big deal to him.....If I ever opened my email and had an email from the Don there and it was to ME....I wouldn't know what to do.....That guy has been my inspiration from the very beginning....it was hearing his voice doing trailers when I was younger that made me aware of voiceover and sparked the desire to do voiceover although I never seriously contemplated doing it actually until later in life. Really awesome Vic. I envy you. I shouldn't I know....but honestly I do. |

Don't envy me man. It was just a fluke in how I met him in the first place....trust me. He is just a regular cat. My pleasure to share this. |

I think it is cool how regular a guy he is.
You can tell it was a thrill for him to be there and see all those stars. Kind of funny considering what a star he is himself.
Thanks for posting that Vic! _________________ 865-686-8925

Awesome! Thank you so much for sharing.
Gosh....George Clooney almost kissing Gina..and she didn't miss a beat!
I am impressed. I would have been as giddy as a school girl and lost every ounce of concentration!
How fun!
Hurray for Helen Mirren!! What a fantastic actress!
So glad you shared that with us. _________________ Heather

What a TREAT that was! Thank you, Vic!
I may be a female voice, but he has certainly been a hero and inspiration to me. I can't imagine him not being a hero to any member of this site. In fact...it was his appearance on that Geico commercial that motivated me to get off my butt and pursue this field again. Don't envy you?? I can't help it! |

I'm just impressed Gina and Don could perform with all the production chatter going on in their headsets. I hadn't thought that they would need to be cued like everyone else in the production. That must have been pretty distracting, especially with the added pressure of it being a live Oscar telecast.
I had an acting instructor once who had us do concentration exercises by doing cold reads and singing musical numbers while classic-rock radio played in the background. Singing one song while another played was harder. That's not a bad exercise for VO artists who perform live. _________________ NikkiSaco.Com - That Stylish Comfort Voice (SM)
