Wav files being uncompressed don't have a kbps setting. It's sample rate and bit rate and that's it. When you compress it down to something like .mp3, that's when you get in to the kbps.

For wav files you want no compression, choose "Windows PCM (.wav)."
You should not recieve any message talking about a "lossy format."
