Sid, I FINALLY got to listen to your "Cornfield Collision" and, like the others, grovel in the shadow of greatness. Knowing I can't compete on that level, I decided, instead, to take a slightly different route.......

I just got an email from the Water Saver Heroes people and they are going to present my narrator read to the client tomorrow. Am I up against any of you guys?

Man, I was all planning on not renewing my 123 membership but if I get this one I might reconsider.

Sorry. I posted it the other day but I guess this is a new thread. They didn't tell me if or how many others they are presenting.

I wish. Although this job is right in my wheelhouse, it is listed among the ones that didn't match my profile. I guess I'd better get busy cramming in more random keywords.

That was excellent, Erik.
T'was solid last week, and still sparkles today.

Here's hoping the client is as perceptive as we are.

Go get 'em.

I posted a demo for MuayThai Fighting, for which I received a "Personal Invitation". The feed back from the pros on the forum here was pretty positive. I waited for the "client opened email". Got it....went to the site. Said email was opened.....rating was a crappy 1 star and underneath that it said qoute: "Never Again"!! I'm confused.....I have never done anything for her in the past, hence, never again makes no sense....or did she mean?? I WILL NEVER USE THIS SYSTEM AGAIN. I'm leaning toward the latter, Hell Sid Whatley seamed to like it! and Robert tipped his hat! Who wants to join me in starting a voice123 translation website?

Thats some serious BS John. That was a great read. Don't listen to them. This rating system is ridiculous.

John M. Thomas:
If that, Sir, was a One-Star, Never Again audition, I'm feeling pretty darn puffy about my own Two Stars.

But, seriously, this is serious. That was a boffo, powerful, well-produced spot to their exact specifications.
It went above and beyond.

I'll go to the wall on this one.
In fact, buoyant as I normally am, I will not warble idly if that rating is not investigated, explained, adjusted, and apologized.

These clowns (I told you, Sid) bounded around two sites, sought full production from some 400 talents (for a relatively small budget), and then have the gall to rate uber-poor a stellar performance like that.

That stinks.
That reeks.
That does it.

Time to sharpen the axes and pitchforks, folks.

John - sounds like you delivered EXACTLY - what they asked for. So WTF - I don't know!

Now - I have a suspicion (gut feel) that "NEVER AGAIN" black lists you for that client for future invites - I have emailed Juan for clarification! -

Anyway - 1 is BOGUS and "NEVER AGAIN" is as well... I would have given you a 5* of that my friend, and then some... Very Happy

Erik,

I did submit for that as well, but don't know for sure if I'm on the shortlist. The best to you. Your audition is stellar!

And while I'm putting up a post, here's an audition I sent in earlier today. Just a little outside my usual quiet, storyteller kind of read. But only a little.
