Hi Ya'll,

It's been quite a while since I posted. I've been doing lots of reading here on the boards and in the studio. Thanks for all the gold nuggets of information found on this forum. It has helped me out tremendously.

I'm in the process of putting together a character demo reel. I have always fooled around with mimicking interesting voices. Here's one of the voices that I am comfortable with and can "stay in character" for the duration without too much difficulty.

I don't exactly know where I mustered up this guy. It sort of just came about. The read called for a university professor giving a lecture. I discovered that I had to manipulate the shape of my mouth, lips and jaw to get this particular sound and talk more animatedly than usual (hand and arm gestures, wiggling of the head, etc.)

Could you please critique it for me? Delivery, etc. Maybe help me pinpoint a regional accent? I really don't know where this guy comes from. Thanks for your help.
