Gather round lads and lasses for the time honored tradition of the Reading o' the Leads.

My family has an old Irish tradition. We all get together, Mom makes her famous corned beef and Lucky Charms, the beer will be flowing, there will be fist fights over sports team affiliations, shots of whiskey, crying for no reason, green vomit everywhere.

We do it every Monday, you guys should stop by.

Oh Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling.....

Here are a couple of auditions from late last week. The "Price is Right" one is apparently for a commercial selling DVD collections of past show.
The Truck Safety one requested only the Detective Diesel character, and that's what I submitted as my Custom Demo, but then I added the announcer and submitted it as my Related Demo (who listens to those, anyway?).

Nice job. I didn't start out planning to do Columbo for mine. They asked for a cross between Humphrey Bogart and Inspector Clouseau -- and somehow, to me, that just works out to be Columbo.

Deby, I got that one early in the morning...couldn't seem to get my heavy, lugubrious morning voice to sound 'princessy' enough...I sounded more like the wicked step mother...at least that's what my husband said...so I deleted it...and then him..... Smile
You sounded great, hope you get it!!!

A little slap-happy tonight from the stress of endless day job work, I had a little fun with this one. The client might think it a joke or you never know... hey... THAT'S IT! Pretty tounge-in-cheek. The cigar spot....

Colin I loved your cigar thing even though I think smoking is a dirty nasty habit that makes me want to move to Calabases, CA. Or whatever the name of that city is that just doesn't allow it anywhere.

Anyway they only took 20 some auditions, so I did not get my audition out in time. Here is my Mr Johnson. He is a squirrel reporter. I think I got the squirrely part down. I'm not so sure about the Mr part. What do you guys think?

Thanks for the Princess compliments. Somebody told me the first one was more disney and the second one was Lord of the Rings......I think they were going for Glenda the good witch.

Deby:

Your (Mr.) Johnson sounds like Brenda Starr/Lois Lane meets The Chipmunks. Proves you'll try anything once, twice if you like it. Smile I don't think they would have gone for it, but that's a character to keep on file, all right.

Did they have female reporters back in The Dark Ages?

I didn't know Brenda Star had a voice??? I wouldn't really picture a beautiful red head having that squirrely voice. I can see your Lois Lane meets the chipmonks though.

As for the dark ages....it's not set that long ago.

It seems to be a pretty light hearted story....even though they do sell Dark Chocolate.
