Works for me, Erik.
You lead strong and show some range.
I'd lose the "dreams/reality" clip. It's charactery (and a trifle weak at that) and disrupts the flow of an otherwise fairly elegant demo.
You showcase a nice, friendly "guy next door" style. I'm not doing cartwheels, but it's plenty solid enough.
(Of course, the be-all and end-all demo has not been done yet, anyway.)
Voice On!

Hey Erik...followed your posts, love your sense of humor and you have a great attitude, two reasons that make this board enjoyable. I'm just another door knob in the hallway trying to learn and soak it up as I go...what I'm being told is to focus, focus, focus. We all want to be versatile, flexible and known to have many talents, but it seems the advice I've been given is to find your strength and highlight it with different textures--and when you really know what that is, BRAND "it" in a way that allows you stand out from the pros already out there collecting the Benjamins. My sense is that your DEMO is trying to show too much. You've probably already heard this...keep the Character demo separated from the Commercial demo and Narration demo separate and the audiobook demo separate etc etc. There are others here more experienced in these issues than moi, right or wrong....just passing along what's been hammered into my head to date.
Colin, great production.
Erik, Congrats on the Water gig, that's great...thought your take on it was wonderful! You have Talent. I am sure there will be many jobs to come that are just right for you.
On a side note, Robert seems to be everywhere at once. How is that possible?

Jon... those are all promos/spots after all. You've got to start with general purpose.

Ladies, ladies, Please! Were here to heap love and praise on ME, not each other.
God, if I had a dollar for every time I've had to say that.
Thanks everyone for your input so far. Colin really did a wonderful job and I am pretty proud of the final product. You guys have been so nice. I'm still waiting for the axe to fall.

Even though I'm royally peeved at the "system" at the moment, may I say again that I just love your demo and Cira's intro. A really wonderful blend of two stellar sounds. And I love this forum for giving us the opportunity to listen to your kind of talent.
Robert Jadah’s demos send me off the deep end as well…. I am so appreciative of all the amazing talent I am exposed to here on a daily basis. I feel like a Newbie all over again when I hear you and Scott Pollack and Colin and Amy and Maggie and all the amazing ones….

I'm honored and humbled to be included in that list Maxine. Thank you.

Erik,
I am going to second Maxine's yum and add a yummy, yum, yum! Great job! Plus having the very talent Cira do your intro., was very smart! Very nice fit.
And of course our own very talented Colin. Working his production
magic once again.

Ya know, I was really hoping I would get some positive feedback on this but I certainly didn't expect anything along the lines of "yummy."
And from TWO great talents as well. Rock ON.

Well... little hints from the "inside." Cira doing that sexy slate.. .then your Brooklyn-ease charm Erik... it's no wonder why.
Now seriously... we can all learn from this how it works. In a nutshell... find what your good at and do more of that.
