I'd like to get some feed-back on the demo's I posted on my page.
Any and all comments and opinions would be greatly appreciated. I'm wondering if the presentations need music, or if they're ok dry.
Thanks!

Paul,

First off, I'm new and feel highly unqualified to give anyone else advice.

That said, everything I've learned in the past 3 months suggests you may be a bit off track.

I've learned so much from this forum, and one of the biggest is this -- only post GREAT demos if you want to compete with the big boys here. Listen to the demos of Scott Pollack, Colin Campbell, Don Capone, Erik Sheppard, well heck! Most of the guys who post here.

Putting all your characters on one :60 demo might be a good place to start.

You've certainly found the place to learn! Good luck!

Paul, you will get much better responses if you upload your files in the Critique My Demo forum. The jackals are waiting for you.

Kim and Erik...THANKS!

LOL. I sometimes wonder why I keep swimming in shark-infested waters. First the music business...now this. Maybe different oceans...but shark-infested, just the same. I guess it's the lure of slowly bleeding to death.

WOW! Yeah, man! You both "got it goin' on"!

Great stuff, Erik!
And what a hell of a bio there, Kim.

Yeah. I definately need to get back to the drawing board. I have a friend with a great studio in Haddon Heights. I'll be calling him promptly!

Thanks, you guys!

Kim, thank you so much for including me in that list! That's some lofty company you put me in.

Paul, before you spend much money or time at your friends' studio, let me suggest you read "The Art of Voice Acting" by Alberger. Your eyes will be dilated!

Thanks for the compliment on my bio... I've been out of the industry now for 5 years, so I'm spending the next year or so making sure my product lives up to my experience. I'm starting with a great coach in a couple weeks, and will hopefully make my demo at the end of her 20-lesson plan.

Colin, IMO, you're not just in the list, you're embedded comfortably into it!

Very Happy still constructing my own studio but I must state you have a slight buzz I heard in my headphones. As for all of us swimming in shark-infested waters just remember to coat the guy or gal next to you in steak sauce. Twisted Evil
