Hi, all. I'm Jeff Allen, and I signed on to Voice123 just a few weeks ago. I've been in the business for about 18 years, although primarily as a broadcaster. Was hoping for a few tips or key points with regard to procedural stuff when submitting auditions.
1) Is it mostly expected that auditions are to be submitted with dry voice only unless the use of sfx and mx is specifically requested by the client? (seems to me I read something about this, but I can't remember where I saw it on this site).
2) Do you typically find it is beneficial to send more than 1 read for an audition--or even expected by the client that you will send more than 1 read of a script?
3) Is there any way to determine if a project has been completed so that I can go ahead and clean out my "in box"?
4) What percentage of talent on this site do you estimate do their own post-prod?
Your input is much appreciated. I hope to hear from you soon. Oh, and Happy Thanksgiving!
Cheers
