Hi guys!

OK well I have already made a few posts but figured I should introduce myself here anyway Wink

I'm Luke, I'm 22 - and I wanna be a voice over! Very Happy

I volunteer for a local community radio station - www.gloucesterfm.com on the Coomunity Link Show - but have auditioned to get my own show (fingers crossed!!).

I'm very much into entertainment - I'd love to do light entertainment for a living (maybe on TV) and also I love to yoyo! I featured on a talent show over here called Let Me Entertain You and got to the grand final (check it out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5NWU_ewxW-U <--- shameless plug Razz

But yeah my main passion aside from yoyoing is voice over - I have so far done one advert and it was dreadful - but hey practise makes perfect Wink

Loving the forum too - its awesome!

Cheerio and happy new year!!

Luke

Welcome Luke,

This sponsored site by Voice123 was conceived with the idea of having a place in which to communicate in a more active way, where you can participate in open discussions, submit your inquiries, ask technical questions, suggest new ideas, get critique and feedback on your profile and demos, look for help and help others, find new information related to the industry or just share your mind.

We really want voice over Savvy Forum to be a gathering tool for the voice over community and a great resource for you.
We are hoping to see you around.

Hi Luke!,

Welcome to the forum.

Just curious - do you compete in YoYo? What's your best trick?

Cheers,

Hey Lynne - thanks very much Wink And yes voice over is definately a challenge!

Hey Joe - yes I compete, I'm the current uk national 2 handed champion and I'm ranked 8th in the world (some how) lol

Yoyoing is actually how i have had some really opportunites to meet people in the radio and TV industry - I'd have much preferred to have been noticed for having an amazing skill at voice over, but seeing as I'm lacking that right now I will get in anyway that I can Wink

Cheers guys!

That's Awesome Luke!

Networking gets you some opportunities where you'd least expect. Use whatever contacts you can to achieve your goals...

I've worked with a guy here in LA named Bob Fraser (www.youmustact.com) who has a great story about how yoyoing got him into ShowBiz... Great guy, and very good at networking.

After watching your amazing clip, all I have to say is...

Watch your head! Wink,
