Announcer voices were such a hot commodity years ago and I frankly still like them -- for some things. Your demos show you have talent but didn't sound as easy and natural as the type of readings currently more in demand. Unfortunately, I also noticed some hiss in a couple of your demos which may be turning off a few clients if you used those for auditions.

Obviously, there are a lot of variables: the voice, the rate, the studio capabilities, and of course the competition. I'm not saying anything you don't already know. For my part, I love a deep voice, but try developing one demo that's much more natural and maybe post it here for comments. We have a surplus of opinions in search of a topic here! Wink

Hey Martin: I love you voice! The demos need a little help. I agree with the statement about the hiss in some of the demos. You should pull those off immediately. Perhaps you can find a good clean room to read in. The imaging demo was very nice. I think if you warmed up your sound a little and maybe didn't growl so much, it would come off much better to clients. You have an amazing voice, try just reading some things naturally and not "announcing" so much. Oh, and don't forget to Smile
