Someonen mentioned they couldn't find the original recording. I had deleted it to free up space, so here it is again if anyone cares...

Thanks for that Robert,
Like I said....a quick and dirty read done at the end of a long day. I might have another go at it sometime!

Cheers!

It occurs to me that we are all trying so hard to reach for "drama" that we are missing the mark. Now, I'm sure some (Scott P.) will say this is monotone but I think it closer aproaches the original certainly than my first attempt...

Well it's 4am, and I figured what the heck. Transposed my voice to a nice -2 and threw in a nice old vinyl effect. I almost feel like this could be the kiss of death to put in here, I don't even come close to any of you guys! Anyways, enjoy my attempt! Love your work Wink

I didn't really understand the end of the bit so I probably messed it up royaly. Oh and I said "beasts" in a funny way! Damn over prenunciation..

Thanks Deby!
Well, now that I've had a chance to listen to the original (thanks for posting that one Colin), I've given it another try....
Please feel free to send any critiques, comments or cheques! Smile

Cheers!

Steve.

Well, we've certainly been all around that piece of copy. We try so hard yet Orson Welles didn't think anything of it. He just read it. Amazing. If nothing else it shows that this craft is not easy and makes one wonder if you are just "born with it" or not.

Simon, I am IMPRESSED with your versatility. You sound a little bit like a horror movie but I would have never guessed that was you.

Simon... I listened again and damn, that's pretty good. It's obvious that you have acting talent. I would say that was probably the best of the bunch on this thread. In the spirit of imitating the original, maybe some others were better but for drama and proper inflection, you got it man. Robert had this idea of doing some old radio drama. I started to try but the production work is so extensive that it becomes untenable for no-pay hobby work.

That old radio drama is coming, folks.
And you'll all be a part of it.
The script is in development as I type. I'll be playing VoiceSeeker soon, and offering roles for many.
There'll be no pay, but there will be the chance of more work to follow.
It won't pay either.

The SavvyPlayers Radio Theatre will soon be here.

At about the same time as V123 Version 2.0.
That gives me some leeway.

No pay, but we'll make it up in volume!

Colin's right, Simon.
You may want to push down on the acting pedal.
You're young, energetic, talented, and versatile. British Columbia's a booming movie/TV area.
There are no flea-market movie sites; every gig is a lucrative one.
Go for it!
